mGateway is a programmable system of wide versatility, with battery operation
(12 Vdc) or mains operation (by means of 220 Vac / 12 Vdc power supply), it is typically indicated in structural / geotechnical / environmental monitoring, through the use of wireless/wired data acquisition systems (dWISE, WISE and eDAS dataloggers). It is a data transmission gateway that also integrates the functions of collecting, alerting and managing data from the dataloggers that are part of its network. Conceived, designed and built with the objective of providing a reliable and cost-effective, self-powered, easy-to-use instrument, ideal for simple static
type monitoring using a few acquisition units (dataloggers) or complex monitoring consisting of several dozen localized and/or distributed acquisition units.
However, the great versatility of this product makes it possible to create hybrid networks (wireless and wired) of multiple units interconnected with each other, up to constitute a multiple wired network
of dataloggers (up to 32 units) and at the same time to also create a wireless network of dataloggers (up to 35 units).
Management of the system can be done locally or even remotely via the Ethernet port or 4G modem (integrated on the board). The mGateway system can be connected into a LAN network through the Ethernet port (TCP/IP protocol) allowing interconnection of up to 254 mGateway systems each with its own monitoring network.

The mGateway system has a 32 GB internal FLASH memory and an external SD for
storage to 32 GB. The autonomy of the system with standard 12 V – 12 Ah battery is about 24 hours in non-onerous weather conditions. Power can also be supplied externally using a 220 Vac mains power supply (optional) or from a solar panel using a “solar panel-battery-regulated-charge” kit (optional). The integrated webserver allows management of the datalogger using a browser (Chrome/Firefox/Edge) from any device (smartphone/tablet/PC) without the use of any software to be installed.

On each individual datalogger in the mGateway network, alarm thresholds and corresponding SMS/email notifications can be configured for various users.
Local diagnostics enable monitoring of mGateway resources such as memory and CPU parameters, physical values like temperature, and battery status of each network node.
The monitoring network status is available thanks to information on cellular network coverage and the reception power of each network node, along with other information stored within log files. Data acquired from the datalogger is stored in CSV (ASCII/ text) format and can be sent at scheduled intervals to an FTP/FTPS/SFTP server autonomously via available network connections (wired/wireless) using the optional 4G modem or a LAN connection via the Ethernet port.
